The Yellow Calla Lily blossoms in the Spring as a representation of youth, rebirth, and gratitude. Empower yourself now to follow her lead. This time of year, is as good a time as any to re-evaluate yourself, your life, and your relationships. Are you living the life you hoped for? Are you fulfilled? Are you happy? Every moment can be enjoyed, but work must be done to achieve it. There may be several thoughts running through your mind, such as, “I’ve tried everything. I can’t change or change others”. Let me share a few things you can do.
Start by taking inventory of various areas of your life by listing what you have achieved in these areas and what you would like to achieve or change in these areas. Do you feel healthy emotionally, mentally, and physically? Why or why not? Have you reached your goals academically and professionally? List your accomplishments and your objectives. Before anything be loving and caring to yourself by celebrating yourself for everything positive you have done for yourself until the present. Then, do some research on what you need to do and the tools you need to reach your goals. Take a detailed look at each relationship in your life starting with your relationship with yourself to your relationships with others and your school and/or work. Are these relationships caring, loving, respectful, and supportive?
Relationships may have the potential to anchor you to stay where you are or boost you in the direction you want to go. You may have given the above-named relationships power over your life knowingly or unknowingly. Empower yourself now to do what is necessary to identify what you want and seek it. This includes making changes to yourself and your relationships.
